Drape coefficient — where it appears

The fraction of a circular specimen's area its shadow still covers once it has draped, which the trade quotes and which answers mainly to the hem radius. It compresses a whole three-dimensional shape into one number, and the number is dominated by the specimen's radius rather than by the cloth.
