Loop asymmetry — where it appears

The front-to-back imbalance in a knitted loop, whose legs lie on one face of the fabric and whose head lies on the other. It is what a knitted fabric's curl is made of, and it cancels exactly when a structure puts as much of its yarn on one bed as on the other.
